Starward Lagavulin Cask Finish Single Malt Australian Whisky is a unique expression blending the boldness of Australian whisky with the smoky richness of Islay scotch. Hailing from Australia, this whisky undergoes a finishing process in casks previously used to mature Lagavulin, a renowned Islay whisky. The result is a marriage of flavors, combining the characteristic sweetness and fruitiness of Australian whisky with the peaty, maritime notes of Lagavulin.
Upon opening the bottle, one is greeted by a captivating aroma of smoke, oak, and hints of dried fruits. On the palate, the whisky delivers a complex interplay of flavors, with prominent smoky notes accompanied by layers of caramel, vanilla, and a touch of citrus. The finish is long and satisfying, leaving a lingering warmth and a subtle reminder of its Islay influence.
Crafted from high-quality Australian malted barley and aged in oak barrels before its final maturation in Lagavulin casks, this whisky boasts a rich and full-bodied profile. With an alcohol content typically around 48% ABV, it is best enjoyed neat or with a splash of water to unlock its full flavor spectrum. Whether sipped slowly to savor its nuances or used as the base for a sophisticated cocktail, Starward Lagavulin Cask Finish Single Malt Australian Whisky is sure to delight whisky enthusiasts seeking a distinctive and memorable drinking experience.
